After an excruciating loss Thursday in Houston Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was seen smiling. When asked about his smile he stated he was smiling because he knows what his team can bring.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have the momentum, now it\u2019s time to get it back,\u201d Kerr said of the Chris Paul(less) Houston Rockets who would miss Game 6 with a hamstring injury.<\/p>\n

Warriors fans were wondering when that momentum would officially kick in and in typical style they rose to the occasion in the third quarter when Klay Thompson came out of hibernation and set the court on fire shooting 9 three-pointers in the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe seems to thrive in these conditions,\u201d said Steve Kerr of Thompson who led all Warriors with 35-points.<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess you could say I was born for it (laughing). I don\u2019t know. I guess everything happens for a reason. That felt good, to be honest. I just wanted to play for as much passion as I could tonight,\u201d Thompson said afterwards.<\/p>\n

Golden State would make history by holding Houston to 25-points in the second half, and 9-points in the fourth quarter setting franchise playoff records for the fewest points allowed in a half and quarter.<\/p>\n

The Warriors have the opportunity to advance to the NBA Finals for the fourth straight year either against their usual opponent, Cleveland or a young Boston Celtics team.<\/p>\n
