Jane Marie Dillard

Jane Marie Dillard passed away March 12, 2019, at the age of 93. She was born in Sacramento, Calif. She was a resident of Concord, Calif. for the last 19 years.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joseph H. Dillard (1918-2003) and their daughter Elizabeth Ann Butler (1948-1969). Jane is survived by her devoted sister, Wilma Johnson, Concord, Calif.; two sons, Joseph Dillard Jr. (Ashley) Santa Margarita, Calif. and William Dillard (Cathy) Benicia, Calif.; and daughter Mary Jane Byrne (Michael) Sunol, Calif. Jane’s pride and joy were her seven grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Prior to moving to Concord, Calif., Jane and Joe enjoyed many years of retirement in Adin, Calif. Jane and Joe lived in Martinez, Calif. for 27 years, where they raised their children.
Jane was the school secretary for Martinez Junior High School for 15 years. Jane’s love of her family and friends brought her much happiness. She enjoyed working in her gardens and being outdoors. She was well known for her cooking and hospitality.
Her motto in life was…KINDNESS IS EVERYTHING.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Jane’s life Saturday June 8, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the Adin cemetery in Adin, Calif.
