Diane passed away on February 16, 2019, after a courageous 6-year battle with cancer.

Diane was born on July 4, 1937, to the late Lawrence and Verda Ray. She was raised in Martinez, California. She attended Alhambra High school where she met – and then married – Donald Strickland. They were blessed with five children Vicki, Pat, Danette, Jack, and Wes.

Diane was preceded in death by her mom and dad as well as her brothers Oren and Mike Ray and sister Donna Hogan.

Diane is survived by her children Vicki Strickland (Rick), Pat Strickland (Annette), Danette Hartman (Phil) Jack Strickland (Belinda), and Wes Strickland, as well six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Lawrence Ray (Sandi), sister Pam Beaty (Jerry) and brother Chris Ray (Teresa).

Diane and her children moved to Burney, California in 1973 and is where Diane lived at the time of her death.

Diane raised Paint horses and cattle and she enjoyed showing her horses. Diane was well known in both Oregon and California as an accomplished horsewoman.

The family of Diane are having a Celebration of Life, June 22, 2019, 11 a.m. at Diane’s ranch, 20040 Tamarack Road, Burney, CA 96013
