The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors selected two prospective operators of storefront retail marijuana stores which are located near Martinez city limits.
– Embarc at 3503 Pacheco Blvd. That site in on the north side of Pacheco Bvld, across from Ace Truckbox Center.
– Authentic 925 at 5753 Pacheco Bvld.
Both will now go through what is estimated as a six- to 12-month process, submitting applications for permits and review from the county.
Neither of the businesses that got good news is guaranteed to get the permits they need, supervisors stressed

Supervisor Federal Glover, who represents the Martinez area, voiced support for Elemental Wellness over Embarc, because Elemental has “site control” of the building from which it would operate. There has been a tussle as to whether Elemental or Embarc would get that building, at 3503 Pacheco Blvd. Its owner told the supervisors Tuesday the property is in escrow associated with a sale to Elemental.
