Game Day USA announced that Sarah Shepherd from Martinez was selected to participate in the Junior All-American Games at Miss Sarasota Softball Complex in Sarasota, Florida – November 23-25, 2018.
Sarah plays for the Alhambra High School varsity team, playing shortstop, 2nd base and catcher. She also plays for the Norcal WolfPack 18U. Sarah is batting .557 with 9 home runs and has a .967 fielding percentage for the Wolfpack.
The event will feature top softball athletes of various ages from 32 different states. Game Day USA, the organizer of the event, is a sports event management firm based in Naperville, IL that operates over 250 baseball and softball events annually.
The Junior All-American Games weekend will include an opening ceremony, game competition, instruction, a skills showcase, player evaluations, a home run derby, and the opportunity for athletes to be coached by college coaches.
