Dudley (Dud) Knisley
April 16, 1927 – April 7, 2019
Resident of Martinez, Calif.
Dud passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 91.
Born in Monterey, he lived most of his life in Martinez where he met the love of his life, Jackie. They enjoyed 66 years of marriage together.
After serving in the Merchant Marines and the Army, Dud became a career electrician. Upon retirement, he volunteered at the Martinez Regional Hospital, spreading joy for over 20 years.
Dud was an active Mason and Shriner. Always the life of the party, he loved telling jokes and dancing. Honesty and respect were at the forefront of his values.
Dud and Jackie raised three children, Jeff (Debbie), Greg (Lissa) and Nancy (Rick) Freitas. He enjoyed his grandchildren, Dennis (Kathy and family), Christina and Natalie.
A private celebration of his life will be held. Donations may be made to Hospice of the East Bay in memory of Dudley Knisley, 3470 Buskirk Ave., Pleasant Hill, CA 94523
