This culture of caring has been carried on proudly by our current employees.”

He has worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Contra Costa, the Shell/MEF Run for Education and participated in various events for the Martinez Chamber of Commerce and Alhambra High School. He also worked closely with the refinery’s Community Advisory Panel, keeping the refinery’s neighbors and community leaders informed about operations.
Tom says, “It has been my pleasure to be welcomed into the Martinez Community, work with our community partners, and participate in local events. Martinez, the refinery and the community, will always hold a special place in my heart.”
Tom has also played key roles in representing Shell as a Board member of the American Fuels and Petrochemical Manufacturers, Western States Petroleum Association, and California Chamber of Commerce.
