I attended the informational meeting scheduled by Brandon Varise about his plans to open an indoor shooting range in the historic old opera house: The Telfer-McMahon building. Brandon twice asked the question what market research or study he had done regarding the business viability of his proposal. The question was never directly answered. He did not/could not name the source of any research or study into his business plan. He said that he “doesn’t own a gun.”, and that he is a “sports enthusiast”. “I feel that it fits”, seemed to sum up his research.
Brandon said that “People come up to me all the time to tell me it’s a great idea”. Perhaps it’s time to send Brandon a few emails.
