Chamber of Commerce Board Meets Today

The Martinez Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will meet at noon today in the board room of the Martinez Unified School District, 921 Susana St.

Ribbon Cutting for Sweet Beginnings Family Resource Center

Monday, August 27 at 12 PM – 1 PM at 1252 Pine St, Martinez, CA 94553. On it’s website the organizations states that “SBFRC’s goal is to keep children out of Foster Care whether its through support with Parenting or Adoption Option Planning. We work with pregnant women, parenting families, families involved with Child Welfare and Foster and Adoptive Families.”

New Lights At Main Street Plaza

New light poles and fixtures have been installed in the 600 block of Main Street in the area popularly called the Main Street, Downtown and Alahambra Creek plaza, according to a city of Martinez announcement. The new illumination is designed to create a safe and secure ambiance, according to the city’s announcement. The addition of more lights will be added in the future, the announcement said.
